Ordered a plant may 5, 2020. Was not informed until several weeks later there order was delayed until 7/25/2020.

After no correspondence by 7/28/2020 and no product recieved, I called to cancel my order and request a refund. I was told 3-5 days. On 8/4/2020, after no communication and no refund recieved, I recieve an email stating the order was now delayed to 9/5/2020. The order I had canceled 9 days prior and was overdue on receiving a refund.

I called and got the run around for over 30 minutes about why it was some other, unknown company who has to issue the refund and they can't get in touch with anyone at goods mystery company. I was told this after it was CONFIRMED THE COMPANY RECIEVED MY FUNDS MONTHS AGO.

I absolutely would stay away from purchasing products from this company, you will not recieve your product and they will pass blame and promise to refund you, but you will not recieve your refund. Buyer beware.

Simms Below is a message from UPS. I contacted Plow and Hearth, Customer Service last week to inquire about the status of my order. I explained to the Customer Service I was suppose to receive the order on May 18 but for some reason, UPS had not delivered the package. The customer service tech promised that she would call me back within an hour and let me know the status of the order. She did not call back as promised, so I assume that she handled the situation. Well, she handled the issue by ignoring my concern and not doing anything about it!! According to the email below, the package was returned to your company. Please refund my account immediately!! This is the worse customer service I have ever received. I will no longer do any business with Plow and Hearth. Again, request a refund to my credit card. Based on the response that we had received from our UPS facility it shows that your package was damage. This was the reason why the package was then returned back to the sender. At this point we recommend that you coordinate with your shipper for assistance with the damage claim on this damage package.

User's recommendation: Company will not refund account. Be very careful. I've sent numerous emails with no response from company. Merchandise was never received by me, but returned by UPS to Plow and Hearth because package was damaged. However, Plow and Hearth still has credited my account, will not respond to emails. I have sent numerous emails to Customer Service. Their customer service department is the worse to deal with. They will lie just to get you off the phone with a promise that they will take care of the issue. To date, they have not refunded my account. Buyer beware.

Called customer service last week and customer service representative stated she would phone me within an hour letting me know what has happened to the bench that was shipped to me but never received it. UPS stated that the sender (Plow and Earth) should have the bench as they returned it to sender. For what apparent reason, UPS returned the bench, I cannot understand since I tracked the item everyday to see when it would be delivered. When it wasn't delivered on the date shown on the tracking information, I started sending messages to UPS asking about the delivery date of the bench. Finally called Plow and Earth and talked to customer service. She PROMISED ME that she would phone me back within the hour and have the item turned around and reshipped back to me. She never phoned me back, so I assumed she had resolved the issue. To my surprise, UPS stated this morning that no one had contacted them and the item was returned to Plow and Hearth. Just yuck! from the rooter to the tooter BAD! it took OVER TWO MONTHS for my order to arrive for starter. it was a stained glass piece. I messaged to find out what the delay was and got zip, zilch back. When the piece did arrive there were globs of creamy gray stuff where the pieces connected. in my limited experience sauder is often used to piece together stained glass. sauder is known to have lead in it. the piece was made in china. i messaged to ask what the component was and if there was lead. customer service told me to, "wipe it off"! Wait?! Say what?? I am not trying to mess with this stuff if there is lead in it! I ended up sending it back and PLOW AND HEARTH HAD THE GALL TO SHORT MY RETURN BY $20!!!! what the heck! when i contacted them there was some restock drag!!! Never again!

I placed an order with Plow and Hearth 7 It was for a present for a relative in Ohio and was being directly shipped to them. I received an email today, 3 days before Christmas, saying g due to a high demand, they cannot ship the item and offer me a 14 % discount on my next order ( if I order something by January 2!) This company did the exact same thing to me last year, but the gift was for a neighbor. There is o way to get a present to my family before the holidays. Totally unacceptable! This company customer relations suck!

Beware when ordering with "curside" delivery!

I wanted to order a fireplace that I have had my eye on for over a year. I used live chat to get an idea of when to expect delivery after placing the order. Three live chats, a phone call and email and I never got an answer to my question. BUT I did learn that besides being charged a standard shipping fee and an $80 truck delivery fee that there was a third fee not listed on the product details page nor the shopping cart or at any time during checkout. It is NOT "curbside" delivery. The trucker will not take it off the truck. The customer must climb up onto the truck and get the item off themselves AND they cannot use the liftgate to lower the item to the ground without paying an ADDITIONAL $50! Customer service is atrocious, unprofessional, in serious need of training and basically a waste of time. I did not believe what I was being told so I opted to clarify this via email. This was the reply I received... "This item will be shipping through motor freight delivery and you will be required to remove this item from the truck yourself unless you pay that $50 lift fee. There also will be an additional $80 shipping charge because of the way that item ships."

They did offer me a 20% coupon to replace the furniture! I would t buy it again, way to expensive to last only 3 seasons! I kept it inside for 7 months out of the year, definitely defective, that’s why they changed the resin on the furniture!

i ordered 3 sets of replacement cushions for my plow and hearth prospect hill wicker deep seat couch. I ordered these products on a saturday knowing that they would not ship on a weekend so I decided to call on monday and they told me at first that they could not find my order number, then they told me that they located my order and a supervisor said that it would ship by the end of that day on Monday, well it did not ship.

Called again on Tuesday morning and now was told that they were having phone issues getting a hold of a supervisor to find out when my items would ship, Also please be aware that Plow and Hearth had already debited my bank account for over 200.00 dollars.

people please be aware that if you do business with plow and hearth that you might stand a chance of being lied to and having you products delayed in shipment ( I also paid for express 3 to 4 day shipment) They told me that it was not plow and hearth that would be shipping my cushions but it would be a third party shipping them yet i was on the plow and hearth website ordering my cushions and they were advertised as in stock. shipping will no doubt be in 3 to 4 days but it may take them weeks to ship them out.

We will never do business with them or any of their subsidiaries again. If you choose to do so, beware and have low expectations for over-priced junk.

My daughter bought a Mayfair Bonded Leather Wing Chair and Ottoman with the Christmas money I gave her in 2014. The first year was fine but beginning in the second year, the layer of leather (microscopic) began to peel away from the backing. Each year it has gotten worse as you can see from the pictures of the chair and chair arm taken last month (8/18).

After three emails and multiple phone calls--each time I was assured I would contacted within 48 hours--I finally got a claims person who said because this $500 chair was four years old and three years past the one year warranty nothing could be done. (What about the full satisfaction bit?) They did offer us a 25% discount on a new chair, but the chair was out of stock. Really! I am going to spend $400 on a chair that will only last 4 years. Yeah, right. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice shame on me.

Plow and Hearth is no longer the family founded and owned business it once was. It was sold to Evergreen Enterprises in 2010. And apparently the new parent company is not as dedicated to quality as the founders were, despite th fact that the website claims

"...we've remained faithful to the core values that have been so instrumental in our growth and success. These include honesty and integrity, treating customers the way we expect to be treated, offering only quality products we would use ourselves, and guaranteeing 100% customer satisfaction with every purchase."

Christmas 2018...I went through the Plow & Hearth website directly. I ordered and paid for an e-gift card to be delivered to my sister via email. She never received it; she checked spam and junk folders...no email from Plow & Hearth. I called P&H customer service; first the lady said that they had no record of this transaction, even when I gave her the confirmation # from the confirmation email that I got from P&H. She switched back and forth (let me check on this...will you hold?) for a good 15-20 minutes. Did she check her spam and junk folders? Yes Are you sure this is her correct email address? Yes Have her check it again tomorrow and see if it shows up. End result: lady says "our customer service team will check on it and see what happened to it". I contacted my credit card company; they temporarily credited my account, but then reapplied the amount once the dispute was reported to P&H. Apparently, now I have to wait for P&H to respond to the disputed charge and in the meantime, that $ amount is added to my balance. POOR accountability and BAD customer service.

I have never received the product I ordered. When I contacted customer service they informed me that the item was delivered. If I have a problem I need to contact the shipper. No proof of delivery, no investigation, nothing. I did not check any reviews on the company prior to the purchase because I knew the company name. Now that I see all the horrible reviews I wish I had. Buyer beware, this company is in the business of ripping off customers. Do not order with them, go through Amazon instead. Amazon customer service goes above and beyond if there are any issues with an order!

I am sad to say I agree. I have always thought Plow and Hearth to be reputable also.

I usually order holiday greenery from LL Bean but decided to place one order from P&H. Live and learn. Once I tried to place the order and see what shipping and handling was, hoping free as other stores. I couldn’t go back for some reason.

So I just hit place order thinking there I might be able to review it but the order was “completed”. It came to almost 20.00 plus more dollars than I anticipated. Oh well My brother would receive it before Christmas. The web said 5-7 day shipping.

The completed billing page said up to 10 days due to holiday. Then they put my name on it so when it came he left it for me to open.

When I did a stink bug jumped out onto my arm. It was not really that fresh either Back to LlBean or Lands End next year.

Rip off alert

I ordered a fireplace screen and fireplace tools to have in our new to us home for Thanksgiving. I paid almost $50.00 for two day delivery on 11/16. On 11/23 I received the fireplace tools but no screen. When I called they told me the screen comes by regular ups and won't be here till 11/28. Thats 10 days past the 2 day express that I paid for. The tools that did arrive had been opened and were poorly repackaged. P&W said I will have to pay to have the order shipped back. I'm disgusted and will never deal with them again. I won't be home to receive the delayed package on 11/23 and will have to pay to have someone there to "refuse the order". Since UPS just drops things at the door there is no way to refuse the order unless you are standing by waiting for them. Since UPS does not have a pickup in our town I will have to take the returns over 80 miles to a place that will handle UPS pickup s
